Welcome to Shades of Blue

These Terms and Conditions govern bookings and stays at Shades of Blue, our luxury beachfront home in Exuma, Bahamas. By making a reservation, you agree to the following terms.

1. Bookings & Payments

  • 1.1 50% of the total booking amount is required to secure your booking.
  • 1.2 The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival.
  • 1.3 A cleaning fee of $600 USD will be added to all reservations and collected at the time of booking.
  • 1.4 All payments are processed through PayPal, and the applicable PayPal processing fee will be added to the reservation total.
  • 1.5 Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of the deposit.

2. Cancellation & Changes

  • 2.1 Strict No-Cancel Policy: Due to the size and exclusivity of Shades of Blue, reservations are non-refundable.
  • 2.2 We understand travel plans may change, so guests may reschedule their stay to new dates (subject to availability).
  • 2.3 All rescheduled stays must take place within 12 months of the original reservation date.
  • 2.4 No-shows and early departures are non-refundable.

3. Check-In & Check-Out

  • 3.1 Standard check-in time is 4:00 PM, and check-out time is 10:00 AM.
  • 3.2 Early check-in and late check-out may be requested in advance and are subject to availability. An additional fee will apply and must be arranged at the time of reservation.
  • 3.3 Failure to check out on time without prior arrangement may result in additional charges.

4. House Rules

  • 4.1 The property is non-smoking indoors. Smoking inside will result in a $600 USD cleaning fee.
  • 4.2 Pets are not permitted unless pre-approved in writing.
  • 4.3 Guests are expected to treat the home, furnishings, and amenities with respect. Any damage or missing items will be charged to the guest.
  • 4.4 The maximum occupancy is 20 guests. Exceeding this limit without prior approval may result in termination of stay without refund.
  • 4.5 Events, parties, or large gatherings are permitted only with prior approval and may incur additional fees.

5. Liability

  • 5.1 Guests are responsible for their own safety and belongings. Shades of Blue is not liable for accidents, injuries, theft, or loss of personal property.
  • 5.2 Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners and agents of Shades of Blue for any claims arising from their stay.

6. Force Majeure

  • 6.1 Shades of Blue is not responsible for cancellations or interruptions due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, hurricanes, pandemics, or government restrictions.
  • 6.2 In such cases, guests may reschedule their stay within 12 months of the original booking date.

7. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and any disputes will be resolved exclusively in Bahamian courts.

8. Amendments

  • Shades of Blue reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on the website and apply to all future bookings
